Jeffrey's Story
Life
I grew up on the east side of Kettering up to 9th grade. So, most of my friends were there. We moved to West Carrollton for my Sophmore year, I played football and absolutely loved that school, the students and the teachers. Unfortunately we only stayed one year.
I attended Fairmont West my junior and senior year. Upon graduation, I entered the Air Force and met some the best people ever. While in the Air Force I had the opportunity to travel to many places, which included the Persian Gulf (Desert Shield/Desert Storm). I have spent time in Germany, Spain, Italy, Sicily (1 yr), New Foundland (2 times), Puerto Rico (2 times), United Arab Emirates (8 months near Dubai) and Saudi Arabia. I finally ended up in Tucson, Arizona and retired back in 1994. I was also stationed in Indiana, South Dakota, North Dakota and Arizona and went to school in California, Colorado, South Dakota, Texas, Florida, Arizona. I think I'm done moving around and believe I will stay in Arizona. From here, it's just a jump to Mexico and some real nice beach...Expand for more
es or a short drive to Las Vegas, San Diego or Los Angelas. Tucson is surrounded by several mountain ranges and it is like nowhere else in the country. Yes, we have grass here on the golf courses but not too many homes have it. Too much trouble to maintain.
Our yards have rock instead of grass with cactus of all kinds replacing shrubbery. It's a dry heat here though. In the hot time of year, our humidity is around 10% or below. Love it! We get most of the years rainrall during the Monsoon time of year, which is July to the middle of September. No rain storms I have ever been in match these spectacular and dangerousstorms. They only last a short while they put some water down quickly. No snow here, or least not very often. The winters give us snow peaked mountains to look at while we bask in the sunshine. Beautiful!
So, if anyone is traveling out to the great Southwest for a vacation, drop me a line and I will answer your questions.
Single since 1994 and it looks like thats the way it will be. Too set in my ways now I guess.
