Jeffrey's Story

Seriously. Where does one start a story here? Do you start a story from '82, and go through life from there? It's hard to say cause I have a lifetime of memories leading up to '82. I can see the faces of all these people in my yearbooks and I can still remember stories to go with most of your faces. Many of them may remember me, and many may not. I was the one who ran in the background and skated my way through it all. To acknowledge all of you who meant a great deal to me would take another lifetime, but if your looking through this and saying, "I remember you with fond memories from those days", I say unto you- I remember you too. And you know who you are. The picture I have in my gallery here is my granddaughter Keegan and I out on Hillsdale lake in my boat. Yep, granddaughter! One page in my 'story' starts in '83 when we had a son, and if you went to Prom in '82 you may remember her too. She was the beautiful blonde that I stole from SMW High School. We went on to have a girl in '84. I ended up going to Tech. school here in town, then moved to Phoenix in '85. They didn't. (sad story there) I enlisted in the military in '87. (great stories there) Ended up going to Hawai'i, and spent just over 3 years there. And yes, I was suntanned, and yes I did surf! After that, life went up, and down. Life lesson here people, when you get into the wrong group of people, and you know it,get out whilst you can! On the bright side, I met a lady in '04, and we got married in '05, and we are coming up on 14 years!! I started driving trucks in '03, and I own my own truck at this poi...Expand for more
nt. So school days...hmmm. So many things went on back then. Some of you may remember that I played football, although I didn't see that acknowledgement in my yearbooks, and I ran track before becoming manager, or after, I don't recall. I was in DECA my senior year. And there is proof of that in the pictures! This, of course, is where you get to get out of classes your senior year for half-day so you can go to work- need job first!! I wish I could say that I did something productive during that time, but I can't. Well, I guess I did do all the other DECA activities such as going to Crown Center for competition, dinners, school activities etc. I did try to garner as many friendships throughout my student career, but as I reflect on my life right out of school, and years after, I don't think I was able to stay in contact with any of you, but one or two. And even then, that faded with time. Life: It's what happens when you try to make plans, and keep promises. Reflection: This is where we keep all of our regrets! My regrets: Oh so many. My longest has gone on since late '81. There was a girl that I tried to reconnect with from my neighborhood after they moved, and it almost happened, but I allowed one of my friends to make choices for me, and I blew it! Sorry Kendra. I do ponder, every now and then, where that may have led...? Anyway folks, I hope that all of you reading this are doing great and that life has preserved you well over these decades since high school. I would like to end this message with a fond farewell, and hope to see you guys at the next reunion!!
