Jeffrey's Story

Life I graduated from Stanislaus State University in California with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. After 11 years in California, it was time to move back to western Pennsylvania. I now live in Butler, PA and currently work for DBA Zone, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and Oracle DBA. I have authored two books on interviewing techniques for Software Engineering candidates developing software in Java and J2EE. I am also a frequent writer for Oracle Corporation; developing articles and columns dedicated to high availability and database clustering solutions. I have been married for 15 years and we have a wonderful son named Alex who is now 10. Alex is in 4th grade and doing...Expand for more
very well. Given the nature of my job, I have the ability to work from home everyday (and I do!). This allows me and my son to spend a lot of time together while I am working. He has his own computer setup and desk next to mine and loves spending time with me at work. Although he enjoys the learning software, he seems to prefer the games the most. (Hmmm, go figure). Away from work, we enjoy just spending family time together - going to movies, fishing, kids amusement places like Safari Sams and Fun-4-All. His best times, however, are visiting with his two cousins (my sister Kristin's two girls) in Hermitage. All three are truly partners in crime and there is never a dull moment when they are together!
