Life
Well, let's see. What have I been up to since I left Selkirk? 2 Months after high school I left for a 4 year hitch with the Army where I spent a couple of months in Alabama, then I was sent to Georgia for my advanced training and after that I spent the next 3 years in Germany. That was one exciting experience for me, lots of "war" stories to go with those years. LOL After I was honorably dischargeder I moved out west to find some work and nicer weather! I moved straight to Las Vegas, Nevada and have been here since. I have had a few different jobs since I moved here but I have found the job I was looking for all along, only took me 15 years to figure it out. LOL I now work and live at Lake Mead National Recreation Area. I work for a concessionaire to the National Parks. What I actually do is maintain and build a marina here. That means that the biggest part of my job include being a scuba diver! I never thought I could be paid for having so much fun at work. I drive around on a boat all day, ...Expand for more
jump into the water drop down around a 100' below the surface and see things that haven't been seen since the lake was made! I have other responsibilities which include welding steel and aluminum, repairing houseboats that we rent and other things as needed. This past summer we moved two of our marinas more than 1000' feet due to dropping water levels on the lake. I also get sent around the country to do work on the other marinas that our company owns and operates. I would never have thought back in school that I would even be a certified diver much less making a living at it, but I would never go back to any other job for any ammount of money! Well, I hope to hear from some of my classmates some time to get caught up and see what everyone else is up to these days.
School
Ok, I transfered in from Albany high at the start of my sophomore year, I didnt do much in the way of activities until my Junior year. I joined the soccer team and worked on the school play, I was also heavily into photography.
