Jeffrey's Story
I've been married twice. I have four boys and one girl. Love them all! They are all great kids with bright futures.
I'VE LIVED IN: Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Oregon, Washington, Lake Tahoe, Carmel/Pebble Beach, Silicon Valley, Las Vegas, SoCal, NorCal, Salt Lake City, St George, and back to DFW (home) in 2008. Phew! Talk about being mobile!
I spent 20 years managing restaurants and retail stores, including my own startups. Then 17 years as a kitchen/bath designer, remodeling contractor, and cabinet installer. I started my own kitchen and bath design/build business in 2010. I am still a very creative and restless soul trying desperately to settle down, but there's too much that I still want to accomplish and see. So, I've made a plan.
Back in 2009, I heard that Mrs. Cassandra Williams was still teaching German at AHS. I use to sleep through her class in third period and pull A's and B's. It drove her nuts that I could learn German so easily. She'd be glad to know that I spent 10 months in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The Germans said I spoke like a native by the time I left - only with a Texas accent. I couldn't get above a D+ in college level German. Go figure.
The best job I ever had - so far - was working as a featured extra in National Lampoon...Expand for more
's "Bag Boy" with Dennis Farina, Larry Miller, Brooke Shields, and Robert Hoffman. You'll see me in the opening credit sequence dressed as a cashier yelling and screaming and in the background talking with the other cashiers during the final scene. I even got to sit down with the president of National Lampoon magazine and just talk for 20 minutes.
My newest adventure is putting together a hard rock/heavy metal band, something I wanted to do when I was young, but for certain reasons, didn't. So, now I am an energetic lead singer looking for like-minded musicians who want to write original songs and take the ones I've started and turn them into something awesome. Oh, and did I mention that I am also writing a book on kitchen and bath remodeling?
I have had a rich life. I've experienced more in my lifetime than most people ever dream of. I've had money and I've been homeless. I've lived in many different places and met so many good and interesting people, rubbed shoulders with the famous and not-so-famous, wealthy and flat broke. I've loved and lost in love. I've married a friend and I've married a lover. I so look forward to my future. Adventure! Here I come!!
Maybe we'll see each other again someday! Next reunion, maybe? I wasn't around for the previous reunions.
