Jeffrey's Story
All around me I still find new and interesting things to experience and learn. My little girl is my best teacher. After a few years dealing with the Middle East in Arabic and many years in Europe (Sweden, mostly, but also Germany and Finland), as well as in Los Angeles and Palo Alto, I've settled in a rural corner of Washington State, in a log house in the shadow of the Cascades, near a clear river full of salmon and a night sky glowing with stars. l goes well, in a few years I hope to cruise the Pacific to New Zealand in our sail boat, having already done the mainland-Hawaii crossing. Our cats enjoy my attempts to play classical guitar and my little girl likes to imitate me when I am teaching karate. I work as the head of Intellectual Property for a Chinese company. In my 50s I therefore find myself studying Chinese every day; I am now good enough to get myself into trouble in Mandarin but not good enough to get myself out. Life is for learning. I hope to live the lives of ten and the dreams of ten thousand.
