Jennifer's Story
Life
I have two children, Brooke age 7 and David age 5 in 2007. I've been married for 10 years as of February 2007.
After high school I went to Chemeketa Community College for two years, Western Oregon State University for one year. At that point my sister, Julie, asked if I'd like to go somewhere different. With that we packed up our stuff and moved to Flagstaff, Arizona and attended Northern Arizona University. Why there? Well, the brochure said it was sunny 300 days out of the year and that sounded great! We both attended there and lived in a dorm the first semester. We were the oldest in the whole dorm so we decided to get an apartment instead. I got a bartending job at a local cowboy bar called "The Museum Club." ast two years of college! I met lots of new fun people! In my last year at college, Julie and I moved into a four bedroom house with a fellow bartender friend of mine and his engineering roommate, Dan. Dan and I hit it off immediatly. Come December of 1994 I graduated and moved back to Salem. I quickly realized that I liked Arizona better...love that sun! I moved back down May of '95 and then a great friend of mine from Flagstaff asked me to take a job with her in New Jersey so off we went on another adventure! We took a job that had us working all over New York City. It was a great experience for the nine months we were there. At that point I moved back to Arizona and looked up my old roommate, Dan Hamlin. We were married 8 months later in Feb of 1997.
