I moved to Bowie in 1979 living in the "K" Section, Kensington lane to be exact. I seemed to landed right in the middle of the "rednecks", "pot heads", and a little preppy gathering place. Well my next door neighbor was "Nancy Cook" Great girl! Always friendly to me and really made me and my siblings feel welcomed. Nancy home was the local hang out for any one who wanted to smoked or just come over to hang. I remember the following always hanging out next door, David, George Dow and Mary Dow, Mike Davis, Venus and her sister Michele, Tony Lawton, Oh yeah....Billy Wright! He was so cute! So many others that names do not come to mind. My Best Friend at this time came to be Andy Wilson, I loved hanging out with him! I could tell him anything! We stayed friends til the girl of his dream who is still and now his wife entered his life his Senior year. My nose seemed to be stuck up Matt Schusters butt for the first part of 3 years at Bowie High. With Matt there was our little group of Jeff Kern, Jimmy, Tim and Abury Walker and a few more. We seemed to always gather either at the hill top plaza or the parking lot of the High school, I guess we just could not get enough of Bowie. But I can not go with our mentioning the other neighbor "Jonathan Clayton" he was a couple years behind me and was cute but a little odd at that time.
