Jennifer's Story
Life
2017 Update: happily divorced AF! In the last month of my first semester at the University of Tennessee College of Law. Have 5 horses. Daughter is 14!
I was born in Hamilton, Ohio. I graduated from Hamilton High School in 1998. I attended Miami University for two years before enlisting in the Army as Military Police. I served for about three years and got out to be a full time mother. I married John in 2002 and we had our daughter, Joey, in 2003. I earned a Criminal Justice degree last year and I'm still going to school for another degree. I'm hoping to get a job in the EPA's criminal enforcement division eventually. We are due to move to Tennessee in September. We're hoping to buy a small farm where we will live with our Basset Hounds and hopefully, get a couple horses for Joey. In the mean time, we are sticking it out living in the city down here in horribly hot Georgia. I would love to reconnect with old friends from school, so if you want to get in touch with me email me!
School
I went to Adams Elementary School and EPIC. My favorite teachers were Mr. Bucheit and Mr. Joseph. I attended Garfield Junior High where my favorite teachers were Mrs. Lowe and Miss Sizemore. At Hamilton High, I enjoyed band and my favorite teacher was Mr. Engel.
College

iversity in Hamilton for a year, then MU in Oxford for another year. I was, originally, a pre-music education major but I couldn't find time to practice, work, do other coursework, and party at the same time, so I changed to Political Science. The problem was, that I had to work twice as much because I had to pay rent and tuition, so then I had no time for school! I took some time off to go to Basic Training and Korea, and then started taking distance learning classes with City Colleges of Chicago, but they were SOOO long. I switched to Touro University when I got out of the Army, but I was taking Accounting at that point and it got old fast. Now I'm at University of Phoenix where I've already finished one degree in Criminal Justice and going for yet another one! You might call me a professional college student.
Military
Oh geez, where do I begin? I had the BEST time in Basic. We had a blast! It was so fun! Airborne school was so hard, then Korea was even worse! I love the Korean people but my company was terrible there! At Fort Stewart, I was lucky enough to be put in 3rd Platoon with SFC Barrick and all was well with the world. Bosnia wasn't bad at all and I met John at Fort Stewart. I don't regret joining the Army because of John and Joey, but I wouldn't recommend it to most people.
