Jennifer's Story

After graduating from NCA&TSU in 1992 in Health and Physical Education, I went to graduate school at The Ohio State University (OSU) and received a master's degree in Adapted Physical Education. I then returned to Duplin County and taught and coached for 3 years (I LOVED coaching!) I got married in 1995 and moved to Columbus, Ohio in June of 1996 and started the PhD program in Sport and Exercise Science. In 1999, I...Expand for more
started teaching at Capital University in Columbus, OH as an assistant professor. I was promoted and tenured and now I am an assoicate professor at Capital. I was the department chair for 3 years in the Department of Health and Sport Sciences. I have been married since 1995 to Dr. Samuel Hodge, a professor at OSU and we have one child, Samantha Mahogany Hodge who was born on my daddy's birthday, January 24th 2003.
