Life
What have I done since school? Not much. Worked jobs. Lived in places. Dated idiots. There is a certain pretsige in the sheer number of idiots I dated, however. And the quality, as well. The fact that I didnÂt marry any of them is something, too. Should I name them as a warning to others? A ÂDo Not Date List, if you will? Hmmm...something to think about.
I ran away from Tracy, home of the bean, mere moments after graduation. I had a goal, a pursuit, a life long dream to fulfill...I wanted a tan. Dammit.
Throwing genetics to the wind, I traveled...basked with baby oil in London, baked with Crisco in Greenland, bathed sans sunscreen on the beaches of Norway, broiled on the shores of Ireland. ime.
In my late 20s I came to terms with it. I stopped bleaching my hair blonde and let the red grow out. I traded the baby oil for a 5 gallon jug of SPF 4000 and bought a hat.

After graduation I did a very brief stint at Delta College. Well, I guess it was more of a brief stint at the mall across the street. Then it was work work work for me with a few field trips.
Many many life lessons later in 2001, I wound up at the Great Plate one Friday night. Guess who I ran into? Bill Kirk! HadnÂt seen him since school, probably hadnÂt talked to him since the third grade. I hopped on the back of his RC51 and the rest is history. We were married in April 2004.
I work in HR in the bay area and Bill took over the family business, Kirk Welding in Brentwood. We bought a house in Tracy. Life is good.
