Jennifer's Story
Life
We all know that I grew up and went to high school. After high school I went to College. I met my husband and I became a Registered Nurse, I love it. I began working at LDS hospital and then went on to Primary children's hospital, both in the reahabilitaion/neuro floors. I got married in 1991 and after a few years of marriage, we had our first little girl, Alexandria(who is now 14). When she turned two, we moved to Cleveland Ohio so my Husband Andy to attend Dental School. We spent 4 years in Cleveland and while he attended classes, I worked at the Cleveland Clinic and Rainbow babies children Hospital. I also had my second little girl, Ashley(who is now 11) and my one and only little boy, Christian(who is now 9). After he graduated, The Army moved us to Fort Campbell, KY.
A few days before we left Cleveland, my sister Gaylene (just 2 years older) passed away. This was a difficult time for me.
We spent 4 years at Fort Campbell KY while Andy did a one year Dental residency and was the Dental Support for the 5th group Special Forces. We were blessed at this time with our 3rd little girl,...Expand for more
Amanda(who is now 7). We found out I was pregnant with the 5th and last child, a little girl (Charlee Jane, now 5). It was at this time that he left me in Kentucky to serve this country for a little less than a year. He had the opportunity to miss the entire pregnancy but made it home right before she was born.
We were next stationed at Fort Bragg NC where Andy did a 2 year Endodontic residency (Root Canal Specialist). I did not work at this time. North Carolina was fun but we were glad to leave the residency behind us.
My dear husband wanted to go to Fort BLiss Texas but we were blessed to go to Schofield Barracks, HI. We have been here in Hawaii for 21/2 years.
The beaches are great, we have only been to a handful of them. I have kayaked and parasailed, I truly enjoyed both and would do it again.
So, we are here in paradise, but do not be jealous, it is expensive. Enjoy your $2-$3 a gallon milk while we enjoy our $4-$6 a gallon milk. Pineapples are cheap though. Really, we do love it here and are making the best out of what we have been blessed with.
Take care and talk at you later.
