Update:We were granted permanent guardianship of two granddaughters, Ashlyn & Britany. We are honored to make it our job to give them the life our daughter wanted them to have. We lost our daughter, Patricia, on August 15, 2014. Her daughters (our granddaughters) have been living with us since that date. We are due in court on Monday, September 29 at 9:00 a.m. for a guardianship hearing. All prayers are welcome. Life I've been married to the same man since two weeks after graduation. We've been together for 40 years now. We have two grown daughters, Katherine & Patricia. We added another grandson, Allen, to our brood in August 2008. Two of our granddaughters, Ashlyn & Britany (12 year old twins), moved out of our house and into their mom's house about five years ago. Our other two grandchildren, Sara (13), and Taylor (12) now live near us as well as our daughter, Kate. They are all a handful and we adore them. We lost our 11-year old Saint Bernard, Rosie several months ago. She was our 2nd Saint Bernard. We had a 1 1/2-year old gray tabby cat, Shaggy II. He was hit by a car two weeks ago.
