Jenn's Story
After high school, I did a little traveling and then went to Central Washington University. I studied management and history while I was there and fell in love with anthropology. My curiousities led me to Alaska, where my husband and I have lived for 17 years. We have a home in town and 20 acres with a cabin north east of Fairbanks to run away too when we need to recharge. We have 3 beautiful girls, aged 16, 12 and 11, and an australian shephard/husky named Sheba.
I've managed to get my Emergency Management Certifications and am now the senior administrator at a management company. My husband is the telecom manager for a government agency.

thing that most people will remember about me, was that I always had a book to read with me. Rarely was it something on the top 10 list. I hate to disappoint you, but I still have a book in my bag!
Here are some of the answers to questions my family has asked:
We do not live in an igloo, we don't know anyone who does.
We have an outhouse on our property, we have 3 bathrooms and indoor plumbing in our home.
We do not use a dog sled, we use a pick up truck.
We do see the sun in the winter, not always, but we do see it occasionally.
We have electricity, and yes we can live off the grid...we have solar and wind generated power up north at the cabin.
