Jennifer's Story
Life
As I sit here reflecting on the past 10 years thereÂs too much to talk about. So, IÂll keep it to the basics. After high school, I attended the University of Michigan  Dearborn and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology in April of 1999. IÂve kept myself pretty busy with work, often keeping more than one job. I currently have a very satisfying career in the field of Social Work.
In the midst of becoming an adult, I met a wonderful man whom I am so proud to call my husband  Jason. He is truly wonderful to me and makes me very happy. We were married on July 2, 2002 in Gatlinburg, TN right in the center of the Smoky Mountains. It was a truly beautiful start to our marriage and we enjoy making frequent trips to The Smoky Mountains. ItÂs become our home away from home. We currently live with our two ferrets (Pogo & Luyu), three Gerbils, and two rats. Pogo & Luyu sure keep us on our toes and enjoyed vacationing with us this year.
In the fall of 2002 I began a Masters in Social Work Program at Eastern Michigan University. ItÂs a 63 credit hour p...Expand for more
art-time 4 year program. I take classes year round and plan to graduate in Spring or Summer of 2006. Jason and I are hoping to have children a year or two after I graduate.
There has been so much good in my life since high school, which I feel incredibly grateful for. There have also been times that have not been so good. IÂve struggled a time or two and often look to my family and friends for support. Over the past few years, IÂve been dealing with some health issues that have presented me with some challenges. I have recently been diagnosed with a bladder disorder/disease that is not life threatening, but is definitely life altering. I feel very fortunate and count my blessings every day. There currently is no cure for my illness, but I have wonderful doctors who help me manage my symptoms. It has taken me some time, but I have found a Ânew normal and live a pretty full and normal life filled with lots of smiles, happiness, and love. I do all of this with the extraordinary support of my husband Jason, my family, and my friends.
Best Wishes to Everyone~
