Jennifer's Story
Well hello class of 76. Wow long time no see!
Where do I begin....well after graduation, Terry and I left for college.....we graduated in 80 from Mars Hill College, outside of Asheville NC. We married in August of that same year and moved to Darlington South Carolina. I was a buyer for a department store chain, and Terry was a P. E teacher at an elementary school in Florence South Carolina. The following October we had our first son, Ben. Four years later came Will and four years after that came Drew.
I left my buying job and stayed home for several years until I went back to work with a local hospital. I opened a gift shop, managed the volunteers, and conducted wellness programs and marketing. In the meantime Terry left teaching and went into Textiles where he stayed for 26 years. Sixteen years ago I went to work for Clemson Univeristy. At age 40, I went back to school and received my masters in Conflict Resolution at Columbia College.
Terry left textiles just last year and is now the manager of a center with South Carolina Vo...Expand for more
cational Rehabilitation. At age 50, Terry has begun graduate school in the area of Rehabilation Counseling. It is never too late!
Three years ago, Terry and I decided to become foster parents and have had a little girl, (Christina) for nearly that long. Her little life has been filled with trauma and abuse. We are looking forward to making her a permanent part of our home as we are adopting her hopefully by the end of the year.
Time has flown. Our children have made us so proud.
Ben is 26, completed graduate school at Clemson and is working in Lancaster SC.
Will, 22 is in his final year of Graduate school at Clemson, and our youngest son Drew, 19 is a sophmore in college also.
We are very blessed. When Terry and I met at age 14 we had no idea what was ahead. He is still the love of my life and I thank God every day for him.
High School was great and I would love to hear from everyone!
Hope I have not bored everyone to tears, but I love reading what everyone is doing and hope you will too.
Again, I would love to hear from you!
