Jennifer's Story

I was a student at John Marshall high school, class of 2001, I’m here to communicate and see was up with my fallowing class mates. My name Jennifer Islas I enjoy the simple things in life. Being happy is a state of mind, and I don't think people should settle for less than they deserve. I always look toward the next best thing. I like seeing other people happy. When someone else is down, it breaks my heart. I've been through more than most people my age, but hey, it's what has made me stronger. Life has thrown me challenges, and so far, I've come out on top. I realized who my real friends are, and that my family always comes first...Always. nd interact with young children. Since my early childhood, I have the days of developed affection for the young children. In my view, they are delicate and beautiful like the petals of a flower. I feel that as a teacher, I can help the Students in widening their lives. “I love being a teacher”. The things I love most in life are helping people! I do volunteer work in children hospital and I read to the children and try to make their time as fun as possible! And I also help on thanksgiving Holmes food drive. I love helping because it makes me feel like I’m putting my mustard seed (meaning making a difference, in Spanish we say un grano de mostasa.) in my community and life. We should all try to make a change in our world for a better feature for our children!
