Jennifer's Story
Hello, where should I start? After high school I moved to town (boulder) and continued my life. After a couple of years of that it was time to move on to Huntington Beach and really poison myself. It was a lot of fun but I am glad to get it out of my system. Back to Colorado after a couple years in HB and then I hooked up with a Billy Idol lookalike ( well he had white hair and played lead guitar in a punk rock band) and we just had our 19 year anniversary a couple of weeks ago. I followed him to the east coast ( I am NOT an eastcoast person) and we lived there for 4 years while he went to Medical school. After Baltimore we went back to Boulder for his residency. While back in the mountains I rememberd how I loved horses and I have been ridding and learning ever since. One year of Boulder was enough and we bought our first house in coal creek canyon. in a small town outside of there called Fairfield for 4 years and had our 2nd child, Granger Finn. A job in Missoula came along and for any of you who have been to Missoula you know its an amazing place with lots of rivers, mountains, and sky, so of course we moved. We know live on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Arlee. We built a house and now live there on 40 acres with the 2 kids 6dogs, 2 cats, 2 yaks, 12 chickens and 15 horses. Our kids go to school at a spanish immersion school in Missoula and I drive 30 miles each way to get them there, yes we have a prius but i still cringe at our carbon footprint. We try to offset it by raising our own chicken and buying our a beef once a year (grass fed) from our neighbor a mile and half away. For fun Scarlet and I do endurance racing and Granger and Kevin to the field work with our 2 teams of draft horses. I never thought I would be one for the quiet life but I love it.
