Jennifer's Story

There's so much to tell, I'm just gonna answer the helper questions. I hope my old friends and acquaintances remember me as super nice first of all. Also cute and funny wouldn't hurt=) I always wanted to be a cosmetologist which I succeeded at bunch had a big car wreck injury and couldn't do the work =(. I want to be a writer first of all, also thought about broadcasting, event planning and special needs. My favorite way to relax is to veg out on the puter. Although I never actually relax, I have a million projects unending list and doin the computer stuff is the stuff I don't mind being obsessive about cuz it's way more fun than laundry. The wildest thing I did in HS was to join the band cuz I had a crush on a band guy, didn't have an instrument, so I carried the banner and filled in for a sick cymbal player. I'm going to find work at home, my son is autistic so I'm usually pretty busy with advocating and stuff. Parent support group and also the Tonka group. I also have shoulder injury problem which really limits what I can do outside of the home. Surgery soon. My hero is Jesus Christ first and foremost above all. My late husband is my hero too. He overcame so much in his life that could have really sent him down the wrong path many many times and he was the kindest, most passionate, loving, protective husband I could have asked for, we lost him in a car accident in 2005. My other hero is my son, he's been through a lot for an 8 year old and with autis...Expand for more
m, anxiety, losing his dad, 3 surgeries and lots of tummy troubles, he's still amazing and loves life and makes sure everyone else does too. And my best friend Barb, we lost touch for a few years as our lives moved forward and after my husband died I felt the need to call her, amazingly enough I got in touch and learned that her husband had died 6 months before mine. She and my son were the only reasons I feel I'm still here fighting after losing my husband. Since high school, I've live in Houston for about 8 months, once they had an ice storm I moved back. Stayed in Parkville and KC for the most part. My husband and I moved to Des Moines, Iowa for an executive chef and food & beverage manager position, a couple years after we moved to a cute little town called Creston in Iowa and then moved home the summer after my son was born to be close to family, mostly my niece and nephew. I love scrapbooking, making jewelry, reading when I have time, drawing, pastel painting, and especially writing. I love TV and movies, true crime and reality shows are my favorite-I think they need to do like Iceland survivor or something though. I'm a total computer chick, I also run a couple of successful groups online and in my town. Up until the surprise of my husband's death. The biggest surprise of my life was meeting my first husband and having my son, I thought for years that it would never happen and it did and it was better and more fulfilling then I could ever imagine.
