After graduating from ASU (I spent my freshman year at Emerson in Boston) I moved to New York where I worked in children's book publishing and then, a year later, in magazines. I became a copywriter/copyeditor for a fashion magazine, which was sort of like "Devil Wears Prada" minus all the fancy clothes (I worked on the business side of things, and the crazy stuff mostly happened in editorial) Nearly four years later, I moved to Los Angeles to get into the entertainment industry. I worked at an agency and then for the head of TV development at a studio, which was really fun. I missed writing though, so I went back to work as a copywriter, this time for an entertainment-related website, and I also went to grad school for an MFA in Screenwriting.
