Jennifer's Story
Life
I graduated from Va Tech and lived in that area for about 5 more years, then moved back to Gainesville (I couldnt stay away). I am currently the Accounting Manager for a company that creates software for Cable TV boxes, and we are located in Sterling. The people are great and I love it. When Im not at work I am busy being a Girl Scout leader, running my girls around for activities and school and spending time with my family, our 3 dogs and two horses.
School
I would love to talk to or see the friends that I hung out with in school. I miss Lynette Koehnke, Bob Kuhn, and Kevin Kosmicky (dont think I spelled that right) :-) I would love to find out where Randy Simpson is also, I think of him every day I drive down Catharpin Rd and see where his farm used to be. :-( I enjoyed talking to Mr Dan Bush at our last reunion! Also I think of Ms Tucker, the accounting teacher, and wish she knew what...Expand for more
I was doing for a living and that she helped lead me in this path.
College
This summer (2007)I took my older daughter to visit VT and to check out the campus for her, and my step daughter started her sophmore year as a transfer to VT. It was so great going back there, I forgot how beautiful it was. As of now, my daughter still wants to go there, so we will see as the year progresses if that is still the plan. I do miss those days of Tech and my roommates Yasmine and Karen, and my "next door roommates". I had a great time with SAE and AGR and all my great friends from Agec and Block and Bridle.
Workplace
I got into accounting after graduating from Va Tech and have been doing it ever since. I actually dont mind accounting as long as I can have some variety, like being the HR Manager and office manager also. I like dealing with people and having lots of responsibility and things to do.
