Jenny's Story

Since graduating my career has a taken me in several directions. I attended Dental Assistant school and worked for Dr. William Louwein and George Clark from 1968-1974. From there I worked in the home building industry (Raldon Homes/dba Richmond American), a clothing retailer (County Seat the Jean Store) and for (Cinemark, USA) all in the construction departments in Dallas. My husband retired in 2002 and we decided to purchase a farm in Southwestern Oklahoma in a small town called Mountain View. It's been an adjustment for this city girl but I love it. We're 45 minutes from Lawton and 1 1/2 from Oklahoma City. We raised cattle and wheat and presently own 430 acres. I do keep Hwy. 287 warm traveling to see our children and grandchildren. From 2007-2011, I worked at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in the Foundation and Alumni office. Retirement is wonderful! We have four wonderful grandchildren, three girls and a boy. Two are in college and our 3rd daughter is entering her senior year in high school with plans to become a heart surgeon. So proud of each of them. After retiring in 2011, I started a food pantry at our church. It has grown and serving many to help...Expand for more
those less fortunate in these difficult times. On May 29, 2019, I received a call stating our application had been approved to partner with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. I am thrilled at this new challenge. If you ever have the opportunity tour the R.F.B.O., it is amazing. It's larger than your super Walmart and will put it to shame. My world was shattered on January 4, 2019. I lost my awesome husband of 50 years. He had battled C.O.P.D/Emphysema for over 10 years. In 2005, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer, Fortunately, it didn't penetrate the wall and was removed. Everything stayed clear until September 2017, when another spot was discovered on his bladder. The morning of his procedure a cat scan was done and spots were discovered on his lung and lungs. On November 30, 1918, we discovered it had traveled to his brain. He fought a hard and courageous battle. Gerald lost his battle early on January 4,2019. On April 12, 2021, I was honored being named Citizen of the Year by the Carnegie Chamber of Commerce,

Noticed any kid's commercial catches her eye. Turned on Bubble Guppies and she's in heaven. lol
Check out these cute pumpkins that Dede Luttrull Armitage makes! If you're needing pumpkins to dress up your dining table or landscape, give her a shout! She can do them to match your decor.

Happy 18th Birthday to our beautiful granddaughter, Amber Vincent. You were the best anniversary gift we could received. Love you to the moon and back ten trillion times!
Almost forgot this is one of the things they gave me. It's huge! Hope my black thumb doesn't hurt it.
Had an awesome day with family. Ate way more than I should have. Then they bring out this beautiful cake. Thank you all for your thoughtful words, calls and text. You've made this old girl feel really blest.
Another Syrlec/Crouzet excursion. He sure was proud of it.
Had fun this evening!
Last day of Spring Break for our Texas grandkids.
With Mike Vincent and his family. This was location of the first Zale's jewelry store.
Love spending time with family! ❤
Glad they brought back the Zensation Zalad! Yummy! It was great until a Mother came in her unruly kids. Two are screaming at the top of their lungs. Pray for her.
