Jerald Coffell:

CLASS OF 1978
Concrete, WA

Jerald's Story

Yes! Yes! I know, technically I was not at Concrete during 77 and 78 but I wanted to be linked to this class. Well you made it this far so you must be at least a little curious. So my quick little story: In an attempt to get my parents to not move from the center of civilization, that being Concrete I told them if we moved I was going to quit school. Well we still moved as you know so of course I could not go back on my word. After finding no companies were really interested in hiring a 16 year old drop out I decided to go back. I started Everett High during the 77 to 78 school year as a junior. Immediate culture shock as there was more people in the class than in...Expand for more
the entire Concrete school district. I think it was like 2400 plus students in that grade alone. To shorten the story, finally graduated in 80 and then after working for a couple of years in lousy jobs went to the Community College and earned my associates degree in electronics. I was going to start in Seattle and get my Bachelors (Engineering) but was offered a job in a field I really liked. They also provided many benefits such as traveling throughout the states and all over the word. So far there are only a few places I have not been. Of course I always take a few extra days off while in other countries for site seeing, etc. More time allows will add more.
