Jerelyn's Story
After graduation from Plant, I attended Auburn University for two years. In 1964, my family moved to Toronto, Canada where I finished training as a Medical Technologist. I worked in a hospital lab in Toronto for two years before moving back to Tampa in 1968. In 1974-75, I spent a year in Philadelphia, then moved back to Tampa where I continued working in various hospitals and medical offices as a lab tech.
In 1976, I married Dr. Joel Fyvolent and continued working as his Office Manager until his retirement in 1994. We divorced two years later. After my divorce, I moved to St. Petersburg where I was employed for 8 years as an Office Manager for an Infertility specialist.

ving in central Mexico in a small town on Lake Chapala for the past 17 years, with my partner (male) who is an artist.. I teach English on a volunteer basis to local people ages 8-adult and I've been involved for many years with Operation Feed, a food distribution program for 175 of the poorest families in my town.
I love to travel and, since retirement, I've visited numerous countries throughout the world, including many places in Mexico. In November 2022, we will be going to Egypt, which is why I'm unable to attend the 60th reunion. I plan to keep traveling until the money runs out or I drop dead, whichever comes first.
