Jeremy's Story
I moved from Dennisport, to the Lebanon, New Hampshire (a.k.a. The Upper Valley) area in 1997.
In 1999 I met my wife, but we were not yet to be wedded.
In 2001, I moved to Minnesota, with the intent of marrying Theresa M. Minckler. We we married, and I worked as a restaurant manager while she was in nursing school.
In 2002 I was elected to the executive committee of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire. I also served as National Delegate for that organization in 2002 and again in 2004.
In 2003, my first daughter was born. Her name is Evelyn Minerva Furbish.
In 2004, I ran for United States House of Representatives in Minnesota's 5th district. After failing to achieve ballot status, I moved back to New Hampshire with the Free State Project in November of 2004, settling in Newport (just in time for the Red Sox to win the World Series.
In 2005 our second daughter was born. We named her Fenway Mahalia Furbish. She was born roughly nine months...Expand for more
after the Red Sox won their first World Championship in 86 years.
In 2006 I suffered a severe back injury, and decided to go back to school. It wasn't until 2007 that I finally was diagnosed with an inoperable compression fracture of a vertebra.
In 2007 our third daughter was born on Mothers day. We sold our house in Newport (just before they raised property taxes to an unheard of level). Then we packed up our stuff and moved to West Valley City, Utah.
I currently attend Salt Lake Community College, work as a free lance writer and subcontract (doing data entry). I also serve as a State and County Delegate in the Republican Party, as well as voting precinct chairman.
I presented a comparative literary analysis at the Salt Lake Community College 2nd Annual Conference on Writing and Social Justice.
I am active in my church, as well enjoying my many in-laws. I still play music.
I enjoy moonlight strolls, Red Sox Baseball, and sticking it to the man.
