Jeri's Story
My life has been full of much joy and a couple of heartfelt challenges. I feel very fortunate to have two wonderful fun-loving sons who are 14 & 17. I have a job I love and am surrounded by great people. I am still best of friends w/ Joanne Morford and Dawn Bell. Sadly, my dear friend Heidi Faulk, who I had shared many laugh and many an adventure with, died suddenly a few years ago of an undetected heart condition. I miss her greatly!
I am single (widowed and divorced) and raising my sons on my own. My boys and I are into traveling and have made some incredible memories. Last summer we went to Costa Rica where we flew through the jungle canopy on a zipline, surfed, rafted down whitewater and rode quads down muddy jungle trails. I still love going to concerts and have taken my sons to see Red Hot Chili Pep...Expand for more
pers and U2. I try to catch several concerts every year.
Being active and physical is important to me, I like to work out at the gym, bike ride, kayak, hike, ski and am a novice wakeboarder. My oldest son and I have annual tradition of running SF's Bay to Breakers. I run way behind him which makes sense since he is 31 years younger than I am!
After college, I began a couple year sojourn into field archeology and traveled about Northern CA and Wyoming. After that, I veered into another direction and went back to school to get a teaching credential ... taught primary ed for almost 10 years. Then, decided to hang up my teacher shoes and went into PR/Marketing for another 4 years. Eventually, grew tired of that game and have since gone happily back to the classroom and teaching kids in Folsom.
