I moved to the Dallas area after graduating from Stephen F. Austin in 1986. I taught in Dallas for 2 years. Then I started working for Lewisville I.S.D. I taught there for 21 years, and then I taught in Frisco I.S.D. for a year. I taught elementary special education for 16 of those years, and I taught 3rd grade for 7 years. I truly loved my work because it was so fulfilling. I am now looking at other fields to work in. Personally speaking, I just got a rescue dog from "death row". Her name is Ella, after my maternal grandmother. She is part long-haired Chihuahua/part terrier. She was abused before, so I am loving her back to life. I am also, sadly, recently divorced. We were married for 10 years with no children. It's tough, but we are on very good terms. I love to laugh, sing (shower only!), spend time with friends, read, stay in close touch with my family, and shop. I have chronic, intractable migraines. I have between 9-15/month. Ouch!! I have had them since my 20's, and I have good medicine for when they come on. It does make it harder to work, but I manage. Other than that, I truly enjoy life because it is such a great gift.
