Jerry's Story
Right now I am working on world water issues, have an Internet business, evaluate efforts to respond to disasters, work with Native American communities in the midwest, and work on national and world leadership issues.
A suggested question for this ("Your Story" section) was to say what I would do if I won $100 million:
If I won $100 million, I would invest $30 million in a program to help develop a new generation of competent leaders worldwide.
I would invest $20 million in a self-perpetuating think tank to work on solving the world's most pressing problems and get key leadership to work together on them, such as safe water, soil carbon sequestration, peace processes, alternative energy, and the like.
I would invest $20 million in new battery technology and other emerging technologies, such as the new Lithium Iron Polymer battery expected to give the future Prius cars up to ...Expand for more
100 miles per gallon.
I would invest $30 million in micro-loans, especially for women and youth worldwide, for projects that would bring the economies of their communities up, improve quality of life, and contribute to the planet. An example would be to build inexpensive water purification systems for their own communities and to sell. 85% of disease on the planet is from bad water according to the World Health Organization. (Would that create a population explosion in the third world? No. People have fewer children if their children will be safe. See what has happened to middle class and upper income people in the U.S., Europe, and other relatively safe places.)
Finally, first actually, I would invest $10 million in an income-producing tax shelter, such as property, and a sheltered fund for health care in the future.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
