Jerry's Story
After playing Basketball and graduating from Houston Baptist in "71, I went to Graduate School at Baylor University on a Graduate Assistantship in Chemistry for 2 years. I then taught Math, Chemistry and Physics for 34 years and coached Basketball for the first 18 years. My wife Cherie passed away in June 2011 from Lung Cancer even though she never smoked. It was just a month and a half before our 30th Wedding Anniversary. She got to help our 2 daughters, Julie and Amy, with their Weddings the Summer before, but did not get a chance to see any of our 4 Grandkids, Ryder, Callie, Brooklyn and Hattie.
