Jerry's Story
Life
Hello to all my friends. After High School I attended an Air Line School in Kansas City, Mo. I graduated and took a job with Piedmont Air Lines as a Flight Attendant. I got married and started a family but about six years later was divorced and changed jobs. I had lived in Washington, D.C. and Winston Salem, N.C. but my new job took me to Detroit, Mi. I went to work for "Listerine" and spent several years in sales/management with them.
I met and married my current wife while living in the Detroit area in 1970. We lived in Detroit, Cleveland, and the greater New York City area before being transferred to San Francisco, Ca. During the next few years I continued my sales career and in the mid 70's went back to school at the University of San Francisco. During that same time period my wife and I bought a home in Brentwood (out in the country - about 50 miles from San Francisco) and shortly after opened an Antique Store and an Auction Company. Please note that I was still working my full time sales job as well.

e closed the Antique Store and the Auction Company and in 1991 we opened our Sports Cards Shop. It's still open now in 2004 and unless something happens will be open for years to come.
Along with our Sports Card Shop I discovered the internet in the early '2000 years and have established several web sites. I officially retired in September of 2004 and now spend my time running our card shop as well as maintaning my internet web sites.
Just one more thing please. My wife and I attended my 40th year Class Reunion in 2000 and it was great to see all my classmates. No sooner than we got back to California I became very ill. After about three months of testing I was diagnosed with Leukemia. "What a shock'? Since then I have been through the chemos, had three surgeries and even some bone marrow work. Now I am told that I am in remission. I give thanks and credits first of all to our loving God, next to the greatest wife and family in my world, and then to a wonderful staff of Doctors and Surgeons.
It's been an adventure for the first 62 years and I just hope the next 45 are even more exciting! "God Bless", Jerry Hines.
