At Historicon in Lancaster, PA. My first Wargame I’d the 1565 assault by The Turks of Fort or Castle St. Elmo’s  defended by the knights of Malta in Malta. The Turks assaulted and besieged the fort for many weeks.
At Historicon gaming the assault on St Elmo. The fort’s walls are crumbling from the continuous Turkish bombardment. The Janisseries have ladders on the walls and have scaled the castle’s walls.
The Turkish mount raised as firing platform for the Sultan’s huge  bombards and as a firing platform for it archers shooting at the garrison on what’s left of St. Elmo’s walls
Turkish trench works and what’s left of St Elmo’ essentially a mountain of rubble. I was playing a Turkish commander of attacking forces on the Turkish right wing.
At Historicon, at long last my Janissaries are on the fort’s walls to confront the black armored Knights of Malta.
