Jerry's Story
Life
Once I finally decided to write this bio, I began with my usual intro of "Not much has changed." As I began typing I realized how much it has.
Its been over 10 years since the last time I slammed a combination locker, wore week old gym clothes, ate Sardellas pizza, or walked to Romanellis for that mystery meat filled Deli Special. Speaking of walking places, these days I would probably get in the car to go any distance over half a mile....ok fine...anything past the end of the block.
With that said, I suppose everything else has changed too. I started my Navy enlistment about a month after graduation. When I came back to Az four years later everything was different. Cortez had gates up, closing the campus. Country Knolls (the apartments next to Metro Terrace) was all gated up. Everyone I knew in the area...Expand for more
had moved away.
I starting working for ADT Security back in 2000. I met my wife Laura there and got married a few years later. We have 2 kids Ben (18mo) and Bekah(9). Beside being on our way to having a farm with all the pets we have aquired (1 dog, 2 cats, 2 guinnea pigs, 5 frogs, and a tortise) we live a pretty normal life.
I try to take one day a month to go either dirt bike riding or shooting. I typically go out east to the Sycamore creek area, so if you see a yellow 1974 yamaha, its probably me.
So, I guess quite a bit has changed over the past decade. I suppose procrastinating this bio for the past 4 years has given me a little bit to write about. Hey wait, procrastination.....thats something I did well in highschool and continue to do consistantly still today. Mabey not that much has changed afterall.
