Jerry's Story

Even before high school, I knew I wanted to be a dee jay. In 1961 and '62, I was the official Narbonne dee jay, playing music during lunch time as well as at the weekend school dances. After graduation, I went to work in radio outside Los Angeles, beginning a 14-year career "playing the hits." In 1975, I began writing books about music, and some success in the publishing field allowed me to retire from radio and author full time.
