Jerry's Story
The long and winding road.....fortunately it always brings us back to today. Let's see...graduated WHS, played 1 year of hoops at The U (Miami, Fla. that is), transferred to Central Connecticut State U and played an additional 3 years there. Graduated with a BA in Latin American History and a minor in English.
Met a woman, married, had a beautiful daughter Stephanie, who lives happily in Hamilton Twp, NJ.
Went to work for Merrill Lynch (not using my degree of course) as a tax shelter specialist. Transferred my book to Smith Barney when they opened a Shrewsbury, NJ office. Stayed a couple more years and then got involved in oil and gas drilling in Kentucky. Tax write-offs were hot then!
Lost my first wife to breast cancer and focused on raising Steph as a single parent. Back to Westfield, tax laws ch...Expand for more
anged and went into the asbestos removal business on Long Island and Manhattan.
Fell in love again with a beautiful woman named Judi, lost the asbestos removal business to a devastating accident and went into the solid waste business, in which I am still involved to this day.
Built a house and moved to Toms River, enjoying the Shore, the ocean and the wide open spaces that the Jersey beaches provide.
Lost another wife, this time to cervical and brain cancer, after a wondrous 35 years of marriage, and, to be honest, became miserable living alone.
With all the strange twists and turns, another woman, Jeanne, came into my life 4 years ago. We married and I can honestly say I am truly happy, even with all troubles.
That's all, for now.
Well, let's update a bit.
Still in Toms River but enjoying retirement.
