Jerry's Story
OK....It's me :) I was the funny guy in class...that's how most classmates probably would remember me.
I'm sure most of our teachers would remember me as the wise guy of the class.
When not being funny in class, I was sleeping. Man! I hated math class ;)
Yep! 2+2=b4 Yep! b4 I knew it, I was asleep :)
Yep! and then there was that X problem in the math class...went something like this 1+1=2-1=X. In California that means...1+1=you got married...
2-1=X means you then got divorced.
Most of the girls in school always said I reminded them of their little brother....needless to say I didn't date any girls at James Lick.
Anyway...Life is good at 51 (AARP member):) Where have all the years gone?
Can't complain much, health is good(even though I'm diabetic), still have all my hair, and it's still black :)
But the most important thing is that I am happy, and happily married.
Decided to move away from San Jose about 9 years ago, and relocated to Turlock, Ca. Thats where I met my beautiful wife Sue. Lived in Turlock for 6 years and then we moved to Oakdale.
San Jose had been very good to me for 42 years, but it was time to move on.
About our family :)
I now have 4 grown young adult kids and 1 grandchild, her name is Lily. We also have a new grandson named Kael (born Sept. 5th 2009)on my birthday :) My wife has 2 young adult kids. Between the 2 of us we have 6 young adult kids. Their ages range from 19-29. We also have two great son-in-laws, Zak and Cainan.
Two of our daughters Melissa, and Rachel attended San Jose State, and are now San Jose State alumni. Zak is also a San Jose State graduate :)
Our daughter Jillian is currently attending Jamestown college(4th year)in North Dakota, and is purs...Expand for more
uing her RNB.
One of our son's, Nathan just started(Jan 2009)attending Moorehead U in Minn. Nathan wants to become a school teacher and teach english.
Our daughter Yvette manages a Deb's clothing store in South Carolina. Her husband Cainan is in the Air Force.
Our son David is in the Army. Currently David is stationed up in Washington at Fort Lewis. David's brigade will deploy to Iraq in Aug 2009. Note: David is now in Iraq
About our home:
Our nest is officially empty. ALL KIDS HAVE MOVED OUT! and are now carving their path in the world.
I am proud to be their father :) I really miss them all ;)
What I do for a living now:
I am the General Manager for my little Bro's company Fritz & Rodriguez Inc. We warehouse empty cans for the local can manufacturers here in Modesto located in Stanaslaus County, and throughout the USA.
Prior to working for F&R Inc. I worked in the gas and chemical business (Field Service Eng.)servicing the R&D end of semiconductor industry.
It was a long and good career. But as it has been said, "all good things must eventually come to an end".
After 24 years of service I left with no regrets.
During our free time my wife and I love traveling to the different lakes throughout Ca. Camping, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors with our three dogs. Every now and then we'll throw one of the cat's in the trailer and take it along for the ride. Yes I said "take the cat along for the ride" not "take the cat for a ride" As do the dog's, the cat always comes home too ;)
If you're ever passing through Oakdale on your way up to Yosemite. Please stop and see us. Our door is always open for my former classmates, and new friends.
Take care,
Jerry
