Jerry's Story

Hi everyone! It really looks like most people don't bother to put anything in here, so, since I always was kind of a black sheep, I will. Before I was even out of high school, I had enlisted in the army on the delayed entry program. That let me finish school and then go into the army in Sept. of '69. I was in both Germany and Viet Nam and got out in 1971. I had married Teresa Hannon (Mont. - Blackford Class of '70) while I was in the service. When I got out, I gotr a job with the phone company in Fort Wayne (GTE - now Verizon). They moved me to Lafayette in 2000 and we have been there since. All of that, of course is just geography. raduated from IU at Ft. wayne in 1977 Changed jobs several times within the phone company, but ended up as a local manager in Lafayette when I retired in 2003 I did get my pilots license in 1997 . Strickly recreational and I have not flown for several years. I got my Real Estate License in 2004. That's what I do now, sell houses in Tippecanoe County. It is my retirement job. I do not recommend it for anyone who wants to make any real money, but it does keep us in groceries. Even if I was not your best friend in HS, I would still like to know you are well.
