Jesse (Jess)'s Story
Life
Hello old friends from Jonesboro,
Pulled away in my final year, yet welcomed by everyone as one of the class, I can't thank you enough for the chance to say hello again.
My last year was in El Paso, Tx. graduating from Stephen F. Austin High School, one of 9 high schools in El Paso. I was elected President of the chorus and graduated in a class of over 600 students!
Sul Ross State University caught my eye during an Easter trip to Big Bend National Park. (reminded me of home) Summer theater; ÂPippin, ÂYouÂre a Good Man Charlie Brown, ÂMadame Butterfly, student conductor, President Music Club, Cultural Arts Committee, student government, WhoÂs Who (2 years), Alpha Chi Honor Society, election code author, resident assistant, tennis, long distance running, trips to the park, mountain climbing, ranch landscaper (where I lived), a great Âbest friend, wonderful people, and, wide open spaces to get OUT THERE, this was my college experience!
After a successful career in business management I began teaching elementary music some 15 years ago. During this time Music Notes, Inc. was born and Music You Can Read® was developed. veloping materials which make music literacy available to all children, these are my lifeÂs most rewarding ventures.
Daily fishing as I walk my Bassett (Come-on, yes thatÂs her name) calms down most of my days. I still like to climb and be OUT THERE when ever I can! Single by choice, wild by nature, which means time to enjoy both! (grin) You can often find me driving HOME to enjoy some Dean's Bar-B-Q and fishing at the old honey holes. (ask for JessÂs Plate)
Be well and be in touch,
Jess

Workplace
Hastings Books and Records is where I began work as a manager trainee in Amarillo, Tx., later to become manager and then district manager for New Mexico. Eight years later my management and supervision skills ended as a group manager with Macy's of Atlanta. Teaching music, my original filed of study has been my occupation/life for the past fifteen years. During this time Music You Can Read ® was developed as well as Music Notes, Inc., now a web based elementary curriculum teaching all children the language of music around the world. Retired from teaching, most of my time is spent writing curriculum guides, an elementary music methods books, and, enjoying the seasons, family, and quiet times with good music!
