After I graduated I had already been working part time as a machinist for nearly three years! The following April I married Janice May Maudsley and we had a son, Keith and two daughters, Debora and April. We divorced in 1975. I was single for 10 years. During that time I had the opportunity to move from the shop floor to the Manufacturing Engineering Department and became a Numerical Control Parts Programmer developing machine tool programs to produce offshore oil well drilling equipment and the occasional Aerospace component. I married Carol Allison Silk (Appleby) in 1985 and we have no children having learned what that was all about! Along the way the company I was working for at the time I married Carol moved it's facilities to Houston, Texas and did not invite me to come along. I goofed off for 2 months and was recalled to do some estimating for the Aerospace division for 4 months whereupon I was shown the door for the second time!
