Jessica's Story
Life
Married October 21, 2002 to Miguel Urtiz Moreno at the Excalibur hotel in Las Vegas. It has been 2 years now since I've been married and life is good. I'm currently 25 and Miguel is 31. Miguel currently works full time at Home Depot as a Department manager and hopes to become an assistant manager soon. I am currently a full time graduate student in a PhD program at UC Davis in Pharmacology & Toxicology. They say it takes 5 years to complete the program which would be the year, 2009. I just completed my 1st quarter and it was very difficult, considering I've been out of school for 3 years now. Miguel has been very supportive yet I'm still having a hard time adjusting to college life again. No kids yet and hope to have two after I finish school. Still love playing soccer and was once on 3 teams while working at a laboratory in the Bay Area. I hope to start running again after my adjustment to school. I bike to school everyday since I live in Davis (only 10 minutes away from campus). My parents are good, along with my dogs in Long Beach. I still consider Poly to be my best school experience where I met my best of friends! Where else can you run X-Country, track, soccer, join clubs, have friends, be really close with your teachers, etc.? Not in college! That was for sure.

Happiest memories would be my Cross Country years with coach Joe Carlson and all the friends I met while running for Poly.
Saddest/happiest moment would be CIF varsity soccer championship game as a sophomore. Mr. Piggott was about to let me go into the biggest game of my life at Garr HS and then changed his mind (he had Lori go in instead) last minute and so I sat on th...Expand for more
e bench for the entire game in the rain yet we won the 1995 CIF title for high school soccer so it was great to be a part of the team!
Another happiest memory would be winning 1st place in track for the 2 mile against Jordan HS with a PR time of 13:28. Since Josie and Jackie Guesno were not there, Mr. Carlson left it up to Katie A. and I to win the points for the team and we won that event. It felt so good to have your team cheering you on along the way and then to come across the finish line first!! It was quite a feeling :)

I was a good girl during college. I wasn't into the party scene with the frat/sorority parties. Only studied and hung out with roommates.
Currently living in an apt. with my husband for my graduate years.

Wendy's while an undergrad in UCD
Northview Pacific Laboratories 2001-2004-it's a contract research organization in the Bay Area, 25 minutes from San Francisco where clients send us drugs to test in the "pre-clinical" phase of drug trials.
Currently unemployed since I'm a full-time graduate student now
Military
No military for me although I was considering the Navy at one point for after my undergrad years. See JB Jaso for lot's of military action!
