Jesus's Story
Life
In 1988, I moved to Dallas from Freeport, where I attended the Art Institute of Dallas. I started working at KUVN Ch. 23 which is an affiliate of Univision, a spanish televison station. In 1991 I transferred to the Network in Miami, Florida where I worked in master control. I lived there for around 9 years. Finally I wanted to pursue my long desire of living in Hollywood, California as a writer/actor where I moved in 1999. I bought a house in a suburb of La Mirada, Ca. still in Los Angeles county; in 2000. I work at Directv-Latin America in quality control. I have been writing and acting and have finished 2 full length scripts. One which I'm shopping around called "Ramona's Quinceanera"- One Latina's Fairytale. story. I also write short stories where one is going to be included in a film of vignettes of different Barrio stories. Under the banner of Casa 0101 and Josefina Lopez, writer (Real woman Have Curves).I studied screenwriting under Josefina Lopez...I had always been a writer but Josefina gave me the tools to be a screenwriter. I was published as a poet in a book titled The greatest Poets of the 20th Century. I'm currently doing theater in Los Angeles. I don't get to Freeport that often but when I do I try to make the best out of it by spending as much time with my family who I miss deeply; and catching up with friends. One of the things that I remember about or high school years was the years the Asylum club was open. Just one of my fond memories...
