Peggy's Story

Life My life is going well. I am married and have 1 son. I went to school at St. Cloud State and became an elementary teacher. I have worked in the Minneapolis Public school District for 13 years. I currently teach 4th grade and love it! I went back to school at St. Thomas for a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction. When I am home I like to play with my son who is 9. My husband and I like to see movies, go out to eat, camping, playing sports together, and seeing our families. College I went to Anoka-Ramsey Community the first 2 years, then I went on to St. Cloud State for the next 3 years. I had a lot of fun at SCSU. pite the partying at the Red Carpet, D.B's, etc... Those were fun years and I made a lot of friends! In 1998 I decided to further my studies in education. At that point in my life I was far more responsible. I took studying very seriously! Needless to say I worked full-time, raised a toddler, and ended up with a 4.0 G.P.A. I learned a lot about educational issues and curriculum during this master's study. My thesis was also published! Workplace My work life has progressed exactly as to how I planned it. I have taught in Minneapolis Public School since 1993. I currently teach at the highest performing school, which is Loring Community School. Teaching at this school for the past 8 years.
