Jill's Story
Here is my last twenty-five years in a nut shell: after graduating from Tech I took a year off and worked for my Grandma¿s restaurant and a few other jobs. Then I went to UWWhitewater for a semester and played volleyball; came back to Milwaukee and attended MATC, played v-ball there too, but dropped out because I got married and started having kids; four of them girls 21, 19, and 18 and a boy 13 from a second marriage. for nearly 10. I attended various classes and trainings (I am a certified WI firefighter I) and held several part-time jobs over these years. I worked for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as an Assistant Manager and a distributor for 11 years then was downsized. I finally finished college this past December but haven¿t been able to utilize it so I am working part time for the past year and a half at Kohl's department in Kenosha where I have lived for about 10 years.
