Jim's Story
Life
Ok, well....life seems to be mirroring high school, to some extent, in that I am stumbling through it too. (and just as successfully, I might add)
I married Kim Caldwell in '78, we have 2 great kids: Matthew and Adrianne. Divorced in 2002.
I remaried the same year to a beautiful young lady I met in Utah, named Jenny. We were married in Las Vegas, and lived in Castle Rock, Colorado for a couple of years, but now are back in Utah.
I've been managing sporting goods stores since 1978, and I STILL AM! (must be fun, huh? It's a living. I'm still with Gart Sports.
Doubt seriously I'll ever get back to Idaho.

Workplace
My work ... sometimes I wish I worked for myself, but the success of an independent retailer is extremely rare. So I guess that managing for Sporting Goods companies has been a lot of fun, and at the same time, rewarding. I've helped dozens of people, during my career, become successful and advance in the same line of work. Every day is different, every store has different employees, and customers, and I have enjoyed it all.
