Maxx's Story
I was a pretty shy and average C student at MCHS, spending most of my time in the Art Department with Mrs. Webb. Memorable moments were accidently setting the art department curtains on fire, getting elected by default as President of the FBLA when all the other nominees backed out. My favorite fun was cruzing the drive-ins darn near every night in MWC and Del City and street racing on the weekends.
Over the next few years After graduation, I went to CSU and graduated with a 3.56 overall, I got married, had a fabulous daughter and got divorced, and I also began a long and successful career as a professional designer and art durector in Advertising. A couple of standouts jobs were...Expand for more
my years as Art Director for KOCO-TV and as A.D. for a political ad agency in OKC, working on over 50 campaigns. In 1994, I packed the truck and headed south for Houston to take my advertising career to the next level and ended up as an Art Director at the world headquarters of one of the nations leading oil companies for several years.
I haÂve now returned to the trade I grew up doing with my father in his woodworking business (until I graduated from college), building handcrafted woodwork for residential customers in the greater Houston area. I haÂve also remarried and have a daughter, two step daughters and seven grandkids...and still sneak in some street racing when I can.
