Jim's Story

Well life in general has been a pretty good ride so far. After dropping out of school I went in the military which turned out to be a fun three years. I went straight to europe and had a great time travling to a lot of dirrerent countries. Got married soon after my discharge which turned out to be a bad thing. I wanted to stop all the heavy partying and get serious about life and she didn't. we were toghther two years, divorce was costly. Bummed around for a few years between different jobs, mostly cooking,a few dives and then in high end reasturants. Spent a few years working on a fising boat in Alaska. you know the TV show deadlest catch? that was me, not on a crab boat but it's was just as rough and dangerous. and...Expand for more
the money was great. for the last 15+ years I've been in the communications field.I started out in the field as grunt boy. then I had the oportunity to speicilize in fiber optics, then moving into project management. I'm presently with a national company as Area Director for the Pacific Northwest. Not bad for a HS dropout. LOL I've been married for the last 20 years and we have a home in Lakewood. We have two kids, one of each. My daughter is now 19 and out in her own. my son is 9 and is already smarter than me, I think he got the brains I didn't. I also have a 27 year old daughter from my first marraige. Well that's the condenced version of my life. it's had it's ups and downs but I still wake up everyday.
