Jim's Story

Life After leaving all my friends in Pleasant Hill during my Junior year, I finished out my high school education in North Kansas City, Mo. I attended UMKC and then married my high school sweetheart, Sharon Judy. We divorced in 1976 and I moved to California after accepting a new management position with AT&T. I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since. I have lived in Fremont, Ca for the past 20 years and have no plans to move in the near term. I retired from AT&T after amost 31 years and went to work for a software company, BEA Systems, where I manage the voice and data services world-wide. I never remarried, but have had a fun life with lots of camping fri...Expand for more
ends over the years. Unfortunately most have moved out of the area because of the housing expense. I am lucky there, as I've owned my home now for many years and it costs me very little, compared to most. I traded in my RV for an Escalde and sold the boat, so now I hotel it when I travel. Over the years I have lost my brother Joe Britton and my step brother Kennth White and then last year my mom. My health is still pretty good except for being over weight. My doctor has told me to eat less and exercise more. Like most of America should. I still play a little tennis, but not like I did back in my 20s. Now it's just make sure I get it over and keep it on the court.
