Jim's Story

Life *** Updated in April 2006*** I have been married to Kris since 1991 with two wonderful sons, Alan, 13, and Will, 11. I am a marketing director at a Silicon Valley Techology company and enjoy it for the most part. I spend lots (too much) of time away from home on travel to Asia, mostly China, Korea, and Japan. I long for the day I can be my own boss, though, and am ready to try something new. Kris is a real-estate appraiser and enjoys the independence and flexibilty that her job offers - it is also a necessity with her role as 'mom-taxi' to get the boys to all their activities. She is a fantastic wife and mom. Alan and Will are truly 'all-american' boys - handsome, smart, and talented. Both excel in most sports, but focus mostly on competitive level travel baseball and basketball. Alan, at 13, is over 5'10" already and is soon to catch me at 6'2" I'm sure. Hi life needs are simple - food, sports, and access to girls through IM or text messaging. Will is our drama king - quite a cut-up, actually. In addition to his sports he is a straight-A student and an aspiring drummer. We have lived in San Jose, CA since 1994 We moved to our dream house in June 2000 - a nice home on a big lot in the foothills. It is a great community and we enjoy life with our many neighborhood friends. We love to entertain...Expand for more
and are very happy in the bay area When I am not working, I enjoy coaching the boys in sports, camping, and keeping in shape as best I can. I am lucky to still have my parents around, though they are retired in Arizona. We try to get togheter as often as possible so the boys can know their grandparents. My twin brothers, Dean and Gene, also BOHS alum (class of '85), are still in SoCal. Both are married and each has 2 children of their own. All in all...life is good! School Not much to say. I spent too much time in life as an adolescent trying to do right. I wish I had enjoyed life more, and hope to make up for lost times as I grow old! College I lived the typical commuter school student scenario - home to school to work to home. I graduated cum laude in 1986 with my BSEE from Cal Poly Pomona, took a year off to start my career, then went back to get my masters degree in 1990. Had some good times with a few classmates, but nothing earth shattering. It was a great education, though I hope my boys get a more complete college experience - by going away from home...
