Life
2006:
June-retired after 35 years in education(math and tech coordinator)
June- Son(J.J.) graduated from Northwestern
2007
January-retirement, my wife(Kathy) has joined me
March- Spring Training in Tuscon with my Dad and son, great memories for us.Bafter 33 years began final Boys' tennis season,will miss it but not the bad weather. Great vacation on Siesta Key!
April - back subbing again, another friends maternity leave, done end of May.
June: Summer Tennis Camp for 4 weeks.Great Weather
July: Suffering through my White Sox Season. Oh Well, at least my son's team is doing well.
August: Figures, rain hits and hits and hits and fall tennis season begins. Young team this year, nice girls though.
September: Great weather, inexperienced team, helped son look for a condo in Chicago
October: Tennis ends, beginning of a long run of family sickness with my Dad and Ka...Expand for more
thy's Mom.End of month started a long run at 2 differrent hospitals for us, many days at both hospitals.
November: Son bought a 2 bedroom condo and moved in on the 5th. Time and hospital visits continued, many highs and lows for both of us.Thanksgiving a downer.
December:After 6 weeks in the hospital and rehab, my Dad passed away.Tough on the entire family.Kathy's mom in and out of the hospital and rehab where she is now.Christmas not the same without Dad. The 29th, our family heading to Punta Cana to forget this year and look forward to the New Year.
Jan 08: Great Start to the New Year! Dominican Republic was great! Weather was great, people friendly. A great mix of people from Europe and North,South & Latin America. Hard to come back to the cold reality of Chicago. Already looking forward to 3 weeks in Sarasota starting the middle of March. Isn't retirement great!
