Jim's Story
I graduated from Calumet in 1969. I graduated from Purdue in 1974. I moved to Texas and taught for a couple of years. Then, I moved to Phoenix, got married and worked for MCdonald's for 10 years. I transferred to Las Vegas, with McDonald's, in 1984, after my wife died. I have been in Las Vegas ever since. I also worked for the DOE at the Nevada Test Site and the DOA at McCarren Airport. I travel quite a bit and visit friends and relatives throughout the United States. I swim and play a lot oI disc golf for recreation. I still keep in touch with Gene Johnson who I hung out with in high school. I'm glad I moved from the Calumet region because I love the hot weather. I wish I would have been more involved in school activties and interacted with more of my classmated when I was at Calumet. I'm very happy now and look forward to retiring in Texas very soon.
