Jim's Story
Well this could take a while guess I will just put alittle for now and add to it later.
Shortly after graduating I left Liberty for Baytown Texas. I stayed with Danny Bell (LHS 78) For a short time and then got my own place. I worked for a while as an Oil field machinest, and then a paint and body man. I finally landed on hotel maintenance and stuck with that for some time. While I thought I would give up music, I found I could not and soon picked up my Bass and found a band to play in. This was always my favorite hobby and it brought in a few bucks on the weekend from time to time. Not to mention a good party. In 1986 I left Texas (With the band) To try to make a go at music as a profession. After a short 2 month stop in Gutherie Oklahoma, I ended up in San Deigo California. Makeing a liveing in CA as a Rock band is not easy, so I ended up back in Maintenance, but never gave up on music. In 1993 I moved back to Ohio and landed in Painesville. ctory. While this allowed me to buy a house and "settle" down it was a very stressful job. The stress and lack of activity took its toll on my health and I finally had to quit in 2004. This however led me to my current and hopefully last job change. My Best Friend (Craig Hale LHS 80) invited me to Orlando to join the company he was starting Real Interactive Inc. I am now in Lake Hamilton Florida about 45 min west of Orlando. With the tough economy It has been a slow start but things are getting better every year. Our last big project sits in right field at Progressive Field! So next time you see the T-Shirt shooting Progressive ERV during an Indians game you can say you know the guys that built it.
I still have a my house in Painesville, my sisters are staying there now, and I am still in the process of totally relocating to Florida (I hate cold weather). Still hope to make the reunion.
Well this is a off the cuff fast foward of the last 30 years for me, Seems like alot less.
Watch out I have many pics! I will be uploading a few soon.
